Busy end of October

So we have been on a whirlwind of activity all centered around Halloween. It has been so much fun!!! I'm not sure where to begin, guess I will go chronologically.
Sunday before last we went to the Pumpkin Patch in Encino with Papa Paul, Danielle, Jason & Madison. The kids weren't dressed up for this adventure which probably would have sent Luke into heat exhaustion as his cow costume is super warm and the weather was in the 90's!!!! Seriously a long drawn out summer down here....
Nana Alicia, Auntie Sarah, Luke, Stella and I all went to California Adventure Land for Mickey's Trick or Treat last Thursday. It was a blast. Luke stayed awake the entire night which went until 11p. He passed as soon as the car started for our return home.
On Friday Kristin and I went to Universal just the two of us - it was a gorgeous day and the park was not packed at all, in fact we were the only ones in our car for The Mummy ride. Totally crazy awesome.
On Saturday Curtis, Kristin, Luke, Stella & I went to the LA Zoo for Boo at the Zoo. It was a lot of fun. We have some great pics of Luke hamming it up with some scarecrows!!!
This weekend we have a full list of activities for Halloween...Beep Beep & Bop Bop (my mom & Bert) are coming down to celebrate the festivities. Alicia is going to dress up as the Queen of Hearts and hand out candy at our house while the kids do some trick or treating. There is a Halloween for kids in downtown Burbank that we may stop by and Luke's day care is doing a trunk or treat where they can see their caregivers and friends and get some candy from the trunk of cars (I know sounds a bit creepy as kids should not be accepting candy from the trunk of cars - at least it isn't from strangers...).
This Sunday Alicia is making a big meal for all of us which we plan on enjoying in our "new" backyard. We just got rid of the biggest tree in our yard. The yard feels great the old tree was a really dirty tree and just so oppressive. We still have a lot of shade which is nice but now there is room for a really big swing set for the kids!!!
