Puppy did it!

Luke did the funniest thing the other day - he told his first lie! While we are not sure where this concept came from and we should probably figure out how to make sure this doesn't become a habit we couldn't stop ourselves from cracking up!!!! Here's what went down: I was "sleeping in" and I heard a very loud "uh-oh" and "Why did you do that Luke?" Then I hear, "puppy did it!". Curtis immediately says "No Luke puppy didn't do it, it isn't possible."

Something similar went down the next day - I went into the shower and I again hear "uh-oh" and a very exasperated Curtis say "Why did you do that Luke?" and Luke says "Mommy did it." Curtis responds very calmly, "No Luke Mommy didn't spill her coffee on the floor." Now obviously we need to do something about leaving our coffee cups out and about but he is so adorable it is hard to get really mad and remember we should be teaching him not to lie rather then laugh and encourage this behavior.
