Wednesday/Thursday - Luke laid up with a stomach bug. He & I spent Wednesday night at home when Uncle Aaron & Liz and her kids arrived - Curtis & Stella went and had dinner with everyone at Nana & Papa's house. Thursday Luke stayed at Nana & Papa's since he still wasn't feeling too hot.
Friday - original plan was to go to Disneyland early...didn't happen as I got the stomach bug at 4am and was sick for about 6 hours straight. I spent the entire day in bed feeling awful. Luckily my mom was able to change our reservations at the Grand Californian from Friday & Saturday nights to Saturday & Sunday nights. Luke has been very excited to see Beep-Beep & Bo-Bo as well as his cousins and of course his new obsession Mickey Mouse. We are not sure where this obsession has come from but at least he knows he is going to where Mickey lives!!
Saturday - Stella starts to throw up in the middle of the night not as bad Luke or myself so after a few hours we decide we will chance it and head to Disneyland. We get literally 1/2 mile from the house and she loses it. It is like a tidal wave of liquids all over her and her car seat. So we turn around and head back home to clean her and her car seat up. We spend about another hour at the house to see how she is doing and to see if Luke & I should go or if we can all go together. We decide she seems well enough that we will risk the 45 min to hour drive. Thankfully the kids sleep the entire drive.
Once we get to Disneyland we check in we get some lunch and we head into the Park. We have a nice leisurely afternoon where Luke fell in love with the carousel. He couldn't get enough of the horses. The excitement he showed for his turn to go on the ride was awesome. We also took him on Pinocchio which he didn't care for at the time but now he can't stop talking about. It is really cute he can't quite say Pinocchio it sounds a bit like Ninicchio....We all go to bed pretty early on Saturday as I was still recovering.
We find out that Aaron & Liz' daughter Nora also got the stomach bug from the kids...yikes!!!!
Sunday - Middle of the night rolls around and Curtis gets sick. He is sick for the next 8 hours. Poor guy got it worse then all of us. He ended up spending the entire day in bed. Meanwhile, the kids and I spend the day at Disneyland & Califorina Adventure doing rides and eating our way through the park. It was fun. Beep-Beep & Bo-Bo got to do the rides with the kids and Luke's cousins Aaliyah & Anatascia had a lot of fun playing with Luke. Luke is still asking after the girls and wants to play with them.
Anyways, due to all the illness and throwing off of our schedule we ended up not going to the Mavros' which was probably for the best as the girls ended up getting the bug as well and were sick their entire ride home to Northern California.
Stella went to bed early and stayed in with sick Daddy while the rest of us went to Disneyland to ride a few more rides and enjoy our last night together. Oh ya, there was an earthquake too! We felt it while taking a break in the hotel room. It was a long rolling one. The rides at both parks closed for about an hour which worked out nicely for us as we went on a nice walk through the park.
Monday - again since our schedule was thrown off we decided to try and go to Disneyland just the four of us and ride the train and do some shopping. We had noticed it was cool and overcast but didn't really think anything of it until we were sitting outside setting up our breakfast when the heavens opened up and dumped rain all over us and our breakfasat. At this point we decided our "mini-vacation" was over. We went and said good-bye to my mom, Bert & the girls and went and finally did some souvenir shopping and then headed home. Where the weather was nice for the rest of the day (figures).
Oh and guess what....Nana is now sick
