A quick jaunt to Sonoma

This weekend we took a all to short trip to Sonoma for my Dad's big 60th birthday celebration. We drove up on Friday and had a very uneventful drive which is great when traveling with two little kids. The drive normally takes about 6.5 to 7 hours and we were able to do it in about 8 hours with 3 stops. Pretty amazing.

We all had a great time celebrating at Dad's house with all his friends and our family. Luke got to explore around the yard and we even discovered some Baby Dinosaurs (a small family of lizards that live in my Dad's greenhouse). Since I'm at work I don't have access to the photos but we got some great ones.

Luke had a lot of fun playing with Leslie's nephew Kurtis and blowing a bunch bubbles. Luke was absolutely enamored with the older kid.. Kurtis is 7!
Luke also discovered the art of climbing trees by watching the older kids climb all over my Dad's various fruit & nut trees. Of course we were holding him and he wasn't really climbing but he got to pretend!!!!
