Luke's first fire truck!!

Well we got a little bit of excitement last night!!! We had just put Luke down to bed (it was easy as he is still recovering from Greek Fest yesterday!) and Curtis was settled into his school work (I was busy watching Monday Night Football) when all of a sudden we heard stomping, banging and a knock at the door that sent Freedom into full bark mode.

I opened the door and standing there is a fireman with ax in hand. OH my goodness quite the sight let me tell you! The fireman came in the apartment took a look around for fire. He found none but definitely gave us a bit of a scare. So we loaded our sleepy baby, the dogs and took off for a nice walk around the neighborhood while they figured out where the stinky fire smell was coming from. During our walk we decided to cop a squat and watch the fireman load up their truck, joke around and basically be heroes to little boys and girls around the world.

The offending fire smell ended up being a BBQ somewhere near (how embarrassing for those people!). We're not sure who called the fire department but it was quite the exciting moment for a few minutes. Too bad Luke was really too sleepy to be as enthralled by the fire trucks as we were!
