arguing with a doctor

So Luke developed a rash on his tummy and back on Sunday that we thought maybe was due to blueberries though he had eaten them before. Well come yesterday the rash spread to his face and legs while at day care. Curtis picked him up and took him to the doctor's to have him looked over.
While the doctor diagnosed Luke (she said he had Roseola) she insisted he would have had a high fever as a fever is associated with the rash he had. Well I can tell you we had thought Luke felt warm a few times and took his fever to have the thermometer tell us he had a normal temp.
Now Curtis kept trying to tell her he only got a high once of 100 but she said he definitely would have had a high spiked fever within the last two days. Well I guess maybe he had a fever while he was sleeping since that is the only time we aren't watching him and seeing what is happening.
But seriously how do you argue with your doctor when you tell them he didn't have a fever and she insists he did??? By the way - she is a new doctor to us and we are not sure we are happy with her....

oooh that doesn't sound like a very good first (if it was the first) experience! I'd definitely see about other docs in the area, to see if there are any others you like. you are going to have to see a pediatrician SOOO many times throughout your kids' lives, this just seems to be a bad indication of more arguments to come, that really, you just shouldn't have to deal with!!

good luck! and, sorry to hear Luke's got a rash - did she at least prescribe something for it, or are you going to see a dermatologist? (for what it's worth, we have a dermatologist for Logan and tho we LOVE our pediatrician, they just aren't as "up" on what meds to give or rash/skin issues to read like a dermatologist is....)
