So in these last few days before Luke's first birthday we have been busy!!! On Monday the local news started reporting rain on Sunday...uh-oh...I had planned to have Luke's party at the house in the backyard (with some heaters of course) as the house is under 950 sq. ft and not going to accommodate the 30+ family coming to celebrate!
Luckily for us our cancellations for tables, chairs, heaters etc. was not right before the event so we didn't have to pay any fees - yeah!! But we did have to begin the scramble to find a place to have the party. It was quite the dilemma for us...we drove around for a few hours as a family checking out everything Monday night. It was tough times....
Though come Tuesday we found the location and it's right around the corner from the house. So we are now celebrating Luke's birthday at Barragan's a Mexican restaurant we have been to before. I'm looking forward to having a nice meal with all our loved ones celebrating Luke's birthday!!!
Also on Tuesday Nana Alicia & cousin Zach arrived. They are staying with us and having fun hanging out together. Tomorrow my Dad, Grammie Leslie & Gigi (great-grandma Bev) arrive and then Saturday Beep & Bop (my Mom & Bert) arrive. It is going to be a crazy weekend thank goodness Friday is a half day for me & Monday is a holiday!!!
Monday is Luke's 1 year check up with the dreaded new doctor (haven't located a new doctor yet). I'm sure he will get a glowing review.
BTW - I swear Luke's hair is starting to show signs of having curls, wave at least....just like his mama...scary...
