So many things to talk about!!

So here is a list of recent highlights in Luke's life (10 days until his 1st birthday!!)

Monday (2/2) he had an accident at day care where he fell and hit his mouth on the table he was manuvering around. His mouth bled a lot and I had to go pick him up since he wouldn't let Miss Gina look in his mouth to see if his tooth was loose. Luckily he was in good spirits almost immediately after the accident. I decided to take him to the dentist just to be safe that nothing was wrong with his front teeth. The dentist feels nothing is wrong and that he had a gum cut that we need to make sure he doesn't get bacteria in and to follow up in a week or two to make sure no trauma happened to the tooth that shows up after the fact.

He is still teething those pesky molars (though I believe both bottom ones have broken through) and with the accident has been a bit fussy and drooly. So it has been difficult has he hasn't been acting like our fun loving kid.

Luke also has a tendency to get frustrated quite easily and likes to show his frustration by using his "loud" voice - more of a high pitched scream. We are not fond of this phase but apparently it is all part of the learning independence and such.

We think he will be taking his first steps any day now. He is standing on his own a lot more each day and we can see the wheels turning about how to take that first step. He has not found his risk taker gene yet so it may still be a bit before he actually does takes a lot of steps on his own.

On Sunday (2/1) we went to a Superbowl party at Kristin's house where Luke did the funniest thing that we wish we got a picture of...anyways, Luke was crawling around and decided to crawl under Kristin's table and chairs. He was going into the back corner away from everyone and we were asking him, "where are you going?" As he usually is hanging around us. Well he just looks at the three of us and makes his famous "I'm making a load in my pants" face and we realize he is trying to get away from us to have some privacy. We were dying from laughing so hard. It was truly one of the funniest things he has done.

Luke has become quite attached to his lovey we call Lamby. The last two mornings he has been carrying around Lamby and they have been enjoying breakfast together. TOO CUUUUTE!

wow that's all too funny - especially because Luke and Logan must know what each other are doing, even so far away.... Logan does the same thing about sneaking off for privacy (apparently lots of babies will do this? who knew!) and he ALSO hurt himself at school earlier this week, with a cut on his forehead. at least it wasn't a big deal - I can't even imagine a bloody mouth!!! that would freak me out. :(

10 days till the big day - woohoo!!
