We are just hours away from heading on the open road for our yearly camping trip with my Dad, Uncles & cousins. This year marks a momentous occassion as my Dad mentioned Luke will be the 5th generation camping up at this area.
We are planning on having a family day at Mather (http://www.campmather.com/), Curtis hasn't gotten a full day experience at Mather in the last 3 years that we have gone camping since we have always brought the dogs with us and unfortunately dogs aren't allowed at Mather. Though we feel bad for the dogs as this was the only time during the year that they got to have a great outdoor adventure we just thought it was too much to bring them with an infant.
Brutus who is usually shy around water loves running up and down the river chasing the fishes! Perhaps we will do another camping trip this summer, one that would work better with the dogs.
We will post pictures as soon as we get back to LA. We are taking off tonight and staying the night in Fresno. We thought it would be great to get the vacation started early! Also, allows us to get to the campground a lot sooner tomorrow.
